Out/Words at the Avant Garde

It was noisy, chaotic-readers from the publication all jumbled up with open mic readers, the guy who ran the restaurant was sweet but absent minded, a tourist group came in at one point, one woman was smoking a cigarette, a drunken old guy got up and commandeered the open mic to preach about Jesus...and yeah, it was fun. Some of the readers hit me with very strong stuff. Lots of irreverant humour too. A memorable evening. Worth repeating. They're doing it again the end of Oct.
